Skype
At first I really didn't think that this would be an application that I could use in my classroom. But after looking at the different articles I realized that once again I was not thinking out of the box. It is not just a visual telephone--(I don't have much need for a telephone in the classroom) But I do have a great need for experts and often have wonderful experts in parents and with Skype-- it could be anyone! We could use Skype for fieldtrips and experiences that we aren't able to assimilate in the classroom. I loved the idea of using skype for inclusion students or students that have special needs or different cultures. Sounds like a lot of fun...I need to try it with my own family and then see what I can do for the classroom!
